ALWA
ALWA is a German company located in Gronau.
ALWA is occupied with development, production and trade of resin systems, mainly for the tooling industries since here foundation in 1986. In combination with special filler mixtures complete application friendly systems are developed, which can be used in almost all areas of tooling for thermo- and duroplastic production.
A characteristic of all ALWA systems is the possibility, to made compact moulds of any desired volume. These constant developments resulted to different patents.
Since several years, we successfully distributed in cooperation with our partners our products worldwide. Because of the special and unique nature of our products the number of distributors in various countries around the world increases continuously.
High Tech Tooling Resin Systems used in the following Market Segments:
Injection Moulding | Thermoplastics TSG Rubber |
Vacuum Forming Moulds | up to 120 ºC Mould Temperature up to 140 ºC Mould Temperature up to 180 ºC Mould Temperature |
Press Moulds | SMC/BMC Thermoplastics / GMT / Vulcanisation Rubber Cold Press Moulds |
- is made from aluminium or mineral particles and resin binder.
- is porous and is produced as a block or slab in our factory in Gronau, Germany.
- has a very smooth surface structure and a high porosity.
- is easily machinable and can be polished to a shiny surface.
- aluminum is particularly suitable for thermoforming and other vacuum processing.
- is also suitable for hot steam or water steam processing.
- (EPS / EPE, EPP) Expanded Polystyrene, Polyethylene, Polypropylene.
- is additionally suitable for aeration of aquaria, fish ponds and sewage treatment plants.
- with mineral fillers, which are particularly suitable for vacuum clamping and gripper technology, filter
- applications, air film and sliding technology, foundry and many other applications.

Alwa M130 casting resin system is based on two component acrylic resins and an aluminium filler.
The moulds have a temperature resistance of 150°C (short term exposure of up to 180°C are possible, taking into account the lower compressive strength due to the temperature).
Here you can see all the benefits of our casting resin system Alwa M 130 at a glance:
- Fast curing in approx. 50 min.
- Good casting-ability
- Easy casting of small and large volumes (1kg – 2‘500 kg)
- High heat resistance
- Castings without air bubbles
- No post-curing is needed
- Low linear shrinkage
- High mould precision
- Easily machinable
ALWA MOULD D – Casting Resin
• Good castability
• Cast without air inclusions
• Good mechanical finishing
• Post curing is unnecessary
• High temperature resistance
• Low linear shrinkage
• Highly accurate mould surface reproduction
• Easy casting of small and big quantities (1 kg – 2500 kg)
Moulds made of ALWA MOULD D are resistant to temperatures of up to 135 °C, short term exposure of up to 180 °C is possible, taking into account the lower compressive strength of the mould due to the temperature. In order to control the temperature of the mould during the production process, copper pipes or heating systems at a distance of 3 – 4 cm to each other and of 1 – 2 cm to the pattern’s surface can be included in the casting process. To ensure the same thermal expansion coefficient only aluminium and perforated aluminium sheets (wall thickness of 2 – 3 mm) should be attached to the casting box as reinforcements, which are afterwards recast with casting resin. All inserts should have a minimum distance of 10 mm to the pattern’s surface.
